Applying for a Work Permit during the Summer

Students interested in getting a work permit during summer break should complete the following steps:

  1. You must first be offered a job.
  2. Download and complete the Work Permit Application. Parent and employer must each complete their section of the application.
  3. Email Lea Smith ( and Terri Saenz ( in the Student Services Department at the LVJUSD District Office to set up an appointment to turn in your completed application. 
  4. Bring your photo ID and application to your appointment.

When school starts on August 25, 2020, work permit applications should be completed and turned in to your high school office.
