This is an important message for GHS students enrolled in AP classes. Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023, students enrolled in AP classes will begin registering for AP exams. This year each AP exam costs $130.00. Registration is a two-step process:
Register and purchase the exams through the Total Registration website (www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/
051423). Exam fees will be paid online during the registration process so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available beforehand. Total Registration will provide the course specific join code and directions on how to complete step 2 at the completion of the registration process.
Join the class in College Board using the join code provided by Total Registration. Students must be enrolled in AP Classroom for an exam to be ordered for them. It is required. Students may have completed this step already with the teacher so please double check that the student is enrolled in every course that they are purchasing an exam for.
College Board requires schools that are on trimesters to have two ordering windows. The Fall exam order will include the exams for AP classes that started at the beginning of the school year and any "exam only" orders. An exam only order is required when a student wishes to take an exam for a class that they are not currently enrolled in. Students will use the course "exam only" join code provided by Total Registration to register for the exam in College Board. The Spring exam order will include the exams for AP classes that started on trimester 2 (November 28th) and any late exams ordered for courses that are assigned to the Fall ordering window.
For courses beginning in Trimester 1, the purchasing window is September 18 - November 2, 2023. A late payment/cancellation fee will be $10 per exam between November 3, 2023 – November 9, 2023. Then a late payment/cancellation fee will be $42 per exam between November 10, 2023 – February 23, 2024.
For courses beginning in Trimester 2, the purchasing window is September 18 - February 23, 2024. A late payment/cancellation fee will be $10 per exam between February 24, 2024 – March 1, 2024. Then a late payment/cancellation fee will be $42 per exam past March 1, 2024.
The final deadline to purchase Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 exams is February 23, 2024. Students will not be able to purchase exams after this date.
Granada High School can only accommodate non-GHS students for testing who reside within the GHS boundaries. Non-GHS students within our residential boundaries must email the AP Coordinator and provide a valid ID card and proof of residence to sign up for the exam.
