ATHLETICS

Boys lacrosse tryouts continue tonight from 7-9 on the baseball practice field behind the tennis courts. Come join the fun!


CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

Green Team Club will be selling Succulent Grams from the 10th to the 13th in the quad. For only 5$ you can send a Succulent and a personalized card. All proceeds go to the WWF to help with the Australian Wild Fire.

We are having our 2nd BLOOD DRIVE today, Tuesday, February 11, in the Media Center/Library. It will run from 8am-2pm. SIGN UP ONLINE NOW at redcrossblood.org OR with the RC Blood App. 16-year-old need a permission slip to get an appointment. Bring your permission slip signed to MS Miller in S-1.


COUNSELING AND CAREER CENTER

A representative from UC Santa Cruz will be in the Counseling and Career Center during lunch today. If you applied to UCSC or are interested in learning more about the school, please bring your lunch and come by.

Join us for the annual CTE Career Fair tomorrow during lunch in the large gym. All students are welcome. Companies in attendance include, Alameda County Sheriff's Department, AT&T, Comcast, Las Positas College, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, Safeway, Wente Vineyards and more.

Are you interested in being a poll worker for the March 3 election? Stop by the Counseling and Career Center to pick up an application. You must be 16 years or older.

Hola! Bonjour! Guten tag! Ni hao! Konnichiwa! Seniors, applications for the Seal of Biliteracy are now available in the Counseling Office. Completed applications are due on April 17th. If you have questions about the requirements for the Seal of Biliteracy, please see Ms. Klingmann or Ms. Watson in the Counseling Office. And remember: the deadline to turn in an application is April 17th!

Freshmen, sophomores and juniors, are you interested in taking a practice SAT or ACT test? Registration is now open to take a practice SAT or ACT test on Friday, February 28, here at Granada. Register now in Student Services or online at the webstore for $25.

Jackson Ave Elementary School is looking for chaperones for their science camp trip in May. If you are interested in volunteering as a camp counselor, stop by the Counseling and Career Center for more information.


STUDENT NEWS

Have you seen the posters around campus asking you to vote for Zero, Blad, Lili, and Jake? Want to know more? Come see "Zero to Infinity", a hysterical political farce at the GHS theatre performing February 13, 14, 20, 21, and 22 all starting at 7pm. There's also the matinee on the 19th at 2:30pm. Tickets are $7 for general admission, $5 with ASB. Don't forget to get your votes in!

Coin Wars has officially started! Coin wars runs in your third period class; all coins are positive points so put those in your period’s cups. All bills are negative points so place those in other class cups as sabotage. The winning class will get Jamba Juice. The event ends February 14th.
