ATHLETICS

All girls interested in playing soccer for the 2019-2020 school year: There will be an informational meeting at lunch today, Tuesday, October 8 in Room S-9.

Attention boys soccer players: There will be an informational meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9th at lunch in the little theater.

CLASS NEWS

SENIORS: If you would like a senior ad in the 2019/2020 yearbook you must start working on them now. They are due November 15, 2019 for the early bird price. You can get all the details on Granada Website under class of 2020.

Attention Seniors: Jostens will be here at lunchtime in front of the student union on Thursday, October 10 and Friday, October 11 to accept orders for your caps, gowns and announcements. Envelopes with information were handed out last week. This is the only time that they will be accepting orders so please make sure you stop by on one of those days on your way out to lunch. If you didn’t receive one, please check with your 3rd period teacher or see Ms. Advincula in Student Services.

Attention Seniors: Your panoramic picture has been changed to 10:30am on Wednesday, October 16th on the home side of the football field. Please be there at 10:30 am. Pictures can be pre-ordered through Creative Imaging. See the Class of 2020 page on the website for more information.

Attention Seniors: It’s time to start thinking about Disneyland! Your Disney Grad Nite will be May 26th and 27th, 2020. Tickets are purchased on line through Adventures America, not Student Services. The cost is $379.00 which includes transportation, the park hopper to both Disneyland and California Adventure and Exclusive admission to the Grad Nite 2020 Party at California Adventure. Purchase your ticket early because seats are limited. First payment is due on November 1st. Join us in celebrating their 50th Year of Grad Nite Celebrations, the completion of Pixar Pier, and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

Come to World Language Club today for some fun and games during lunch. Everyone is welcome! Community service opportunities available through the club. Spanish tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday, if interested in receiving tutoring or becoming a tutor, inquire with Mrs. Gracia room P-9.

GSA club meetings are beginning again and starting today, Tuesday, Oct. 8th in Room 305. The gender and sexuality alliance welcomes all students! Bring your lunch, and bring a friend to our first meeting, Tuesday in room 305.

We are having our first BLOOD DRIVE on Thursday, October 10 in the Media Center/Library. It will run from 8am-2pm. SIGN UP ONLINE NOW at redcrossblood.org OR with the RC Blood App. 16 year old need a permission slip to get an appointment. Bring your permission slip signed to Mrs Miller in S-1.

COUNSELING AND CAREER CENTER

Today a representative from Vanderbilt will be in the Counseling and Career Center during lunch. Tomorrow a representative from UC Santa Barbara will be in room 307 during lunch. Come by to learn more about these colleges.

Seniors, need help with your college applications? Tomorrow is our first college application workshop. Workshops will be held in room 307 during 5th period and after school. Sign-up in advance in the Counseling and Career Center.

Seniors, do you need help with your college essays? Come by room MM-3 on Friday to get help with your UC Personal Insight Questions or Common Application essays.


STUDENT NEWS

Do you like adventures,traveling to new places, and learning about new cultures? Travel to England, France and Spain in June 2020. Stop by today in room P-9 with Mrs. Gracia to get more information. This is not a school sponsored trip.

Granada students please don't forget to buy your YEARBOOK. It will be on sale through December 19th. The yearbooks are on sale for $95.00.

The library will be closed today and tomorrow for testing and Thursday for the blood drive. Please plan accordingly.

AP exam registration is now open. Students can order exams on the Granada webstore or at Student Services during lunch or after school. Please see Ms. Keck in the Counseling and Career Center if you have questions.
