GHS girls team took 3rd at the Hilmar Golf Tournament. Jordan Briggs medaled with a 73 and Jade Overton took 4th with a 76.

Can't beat your dad at chess! Join Chess Club and you will finally learn how to crush the guy! Chess Club's first meeting is Friday in room P12 during lunch. All skill levels are welcome.
COUNSELING AND CAREER CENTER
The PSATs are now on sale. All sophomores are automatically registered to take the test. Freshmen and juniors who would like to test must register in Student Services or online at the web store for $20.
Today a representative from the University of Connecticut will be in the Career Center during lunch. Tomorrow a representative from Portland State will be in the Career Center during lunch. Come by and learn more about these colleges.
Do you like biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics or astronomy? Do you enjoy games like Jeopardy? IF so, then come check out Science Bowl! We meet Friday's at lunch in Mr. Shefler's room S-6. Be there or simultaneously exhibit the properties of both a rhombus and a rectangle!
Would you like to travel to swim in the Great Barrier Reef? Hold a koala? Bath in a geothermal hot spring? Learn about indigenous cultures if the Aborigine and Maori people? If so, Photo Bailey, Newkirk, Boehrer and Dayton are taking a trip to New Zealand and Australia this summer. There are just a few spots left. There is an interested travelers meeting Thursday at lunch in room 606, and a parent meeting that night at 7 pm. This is not a school sponsored trip.
Students, if you are planning to attend any of our football games, please know that backpacks are prohibited. We want all of our eager and enthusiastic students, but backpacks will have to remain at home or anywhere outside of the stadium area.

HOMECOMING GUEST PASSES are now available! The homecoming Dance is on Saturday, September 28. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $20 with ASB and $25 without. Ticket prices go up on Friday September 13th at 3:30. Tickets will be $25 with ASB and $30 without. Do not buy your ticket without your completed and signed Guest Pass if you are taking someone from another school. Bring your student ID and buy your tickets at Student Services at lunch and after school. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.
