It is time for promotion!

We are excited that it is time for our 8th graders to get ready for promotion. If your child is not going to attend the promotion ceremony, please email Dayna Key at dkey@lvjusd.org by April 20, 2023.

 

Promotion Robe

All students participating in the  promotion ceremony must wear the school's designated promotion robe.

Students may borrow a robe from the school or purchase a new robe for $25.00.

Robes can be borrowed and purchased using RevTrak (RevTrak Link), or bring a check or cash to the office.

Please borrow or purchase by April 20, 2023.

Students are not allowed to wear sunglasses, hats or other headgear. Families must hold all gifts until after the ceremony.

 

Promotion Social

June 2, 2023.

6-8 PM

$20.00, purchase on the Mendenhall PTSA web-site https://mendenhallptsa.myschoolcentral.com/

Students must bring their school ID to the social.

Purchase by May 5, 2023.

Sponsored by PTSA. There will be snacks.

 

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom 8th Grade Field Trip

June 5, 2023

8:45 AM-6:00 PM

Cost: $80.00. ($35/ticket, $45/bus)

Purchase tickets using RevTrak (RevTrak Link), or bring a check or cash to the office.

Must purchase by April 20, 2023. No exceptions.

Morning of Field Trip: Students report to the blacktop outside of the gym at 8:45 AM. Students will line up by bus number. Students must ride to and from the park on the bus.

 At the park: Students may not leave the park boundaries. If a student gets into trouble at the park, the parent will be asked to come to the park to pick up their child. All school rules apply while on the trip. Students must bring a prepaid cash card, debit card or cash (to be used to purchase a prepaid card at the park) for food if they plan to eat or make other purchases while at the park.

 

Returning Home: Buses will leave Six Flags Discovery Kingdom at 5:00 PM. The buses will arrive in Livermore at approximately 6:00 P.M. Students should have transportation to their homes from school arranged prior to the trip.

 

Attendance Requirements: No suspensions T3.

 There are NO REFUNDS.

8:30 A.M.-12:15 P.M.

Required if a student is attending the promotion ceremony.

 

Promotion Ceremony

June 8, 2023

6:00 P.M. (students must arrive at 5:30 P.M.)

This is a family event, seating is on a first-come, first served basis beginning at 4 PM. Parking is on the blacktop.

Contact Nancy Ortiz in the office by May 19 if a family member needs handicap seating and parking in the staff parking lot. For parking, you must have a handicap placard from the DMV.
