  • Students Yearbooks are now on sale. An email was sent home to families this week. If you would like to purchase a yearbook they are 35$ through . On Feb. 1  the price will  increase to $40.00 so order now! Information can be found on our website. The Only way to ensure that you get one is to order in advance. 

  • Unity Day - National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Day  Wednesday 10/16
    Our district, along with our community partners at the City of Livermore, Livermore Police Department, Livermore Public Library, and Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD), have developed a week-long celebration to emphasize the importance of treating everyone with kindness in our community. ALL people in Livermore should feel included and welcome. Unity Day is a day to come together and remember that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, be accepted as who we are, and feel included. We invite you to join us as we celebrate Unity Week from October 14-18, 2024 to recognize National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month by participating in any, or all, of the activities we have planned for everyone in the Livermore community.    

  • On Wednesday October 16th we encourage everyone to wear the color orange to show your support. Wear orange all day today and share that you will encourage Kindness, Inclusion, and Acceptance in our community! Share your photos on social media with #unitydaylivermoreca to show that you are "all in" for kindness in Livermore, and you will stop bullying when you see it. The leadership class will have a table set up for students dressed in orange to receive a treat as you write something kind on a poster. 

  • Today is the last day for our PBIS hotspot in the Cafeteria & Quad. You can still earn extra Dolphin Dollars for following The Dolphin Way in the Cafeteria & Quad today. Our next Dolphin Dollar prize drawing will be later TODAY. 

  • FALL FEST next friday!!! Start saving your money to spend at this carnival style fundraiser. We will be handing out flyers for you to take home at the end of the day today. Remember all are welcome to join. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this event put on by our leadership class.

  • In a close game Tuesday,  East Avenues 8th grade boys basketball team came out victorious. They have one more game to win and they will be in the championship game. Congratulations on a great win!

  • Basketball Rally at lunch today. You can play 3v3 vs the basketball team players,    you can make posters to hold up at the game after school. If you make a good poster you will get a piece of candy, also if you stay for both basketball games after school you will get a ticket for a snow cone at the end of the 7th grade game. We play Christiansen today for the biggest game of the year so far.

  • Have you been following The Dolphin Way in all areas of the school, at all times? I hope so because it’s time for another PBIS hotspot of the month! As a reminder, each month we will focus on a different “hotspot” location on campus where you have the opportunity to really show us that you know how to follow The Dolphin Way in that location. This month’s PBIS hotspot is the Cafeteria & Quad. That means this week you can earn extra Dolphin Dollars for following The Dolphin Way in the Cafeteria & Quad. We will also have another Dolphin Dollar prize drawing this Friday. So teachers and staff, make sure you have your Dolphin Dollars ready when you are in the Cafeteria & Quad this week! If you need more, please let the front office  know.

You will pick up your prizes and orders to deliver in room 3 at the front of the school. We will be here for pick ups until 3 pm. The orders need to be picked up today.

  • We have heard that students are tampering with other students' backpacks. Do not touch, tamper or remove items from another student's backpack this includes the zip tags. This is considering stealing and  If you are caught, consequences will be assigned.  

  • TUPE Peer Educators- yesterday you received paperwork and a permission slip for you and your parent/guardian to sign.  Please return it back to Mrs Shull once it has been signed. Remember, training is next Tuesday.

This group puts on classroom presentations, lunchtime activities and more. We meet twice a month.  If you would like more information or are interested in joining, please go talk to Mrs.Shul (Librarian) by this Thursday. Come on 6th and 8th graders, the 7th graders have 3 times more Peer Educators than your grade. Let’s even it out and join this fun, fantastic, driven group today!

  • Today, during both lunch periods- Last year’s TUPE group will meet in the library for a short meeting.  Please make sure to come as we will be talking about this year's TUPE program.

  • Attention students. Starting tomorrow, students will start serving lunch time detention for tardies. As a reminder the bell rings every day at 8:20 and you must be in your desks by 8:25. In addition you must be on time to each of your classes throughout the day. Our tardy policy is that you receive 3 tardies per trimester. On the 4th tardy you will receive detention and you will receive detention for every tardy there after. Detention will be held in room 28 which is the room across from Mr. Beck’s room 2 class. Also it is important to note that while in detention you lose all privileges for that day including Friday phone privileges. Being on time and attending school regularly helps students build a solid educational background, which can contribute to their success in school and life.

Sept 18

In January, we have a district tournament where we compete against the other middle schools. We will meet in room 102 at 2:35pm until about 3:15pm, and there will be snacks.   • Hopefully by now you all know The Dolphin Way and are following the PBIS behavior expectations in all areas of the school, at all times. Each month we will focus on a different “hotspot” location on campus where you have the opportunity to really show us that you know how to follow The Dolphin Way in that location.   • Neon Clear is an after-school program that presents students with unique and thought-provoking, interactive lessons on Tuesdays after school for one hour in room 201. Examples of some of the topics to be covered are Artificial Intelligence, The Genetics of Human Longevity, and Applied Hacking, where students will learn to code in python, create electronics projects, and extract DNA from plants. This opportunity will be limited to the first 25 participants, so be sure to sign up right away if you are interested. Neon Clear will meet on Tuesdays after school, beginning today.

  • East Avenue Girls Who Code will be starting on Monday September 9th. 

  • The Club will meet weekly on Mondays from 235 to 330.

  • The club is open to all East Avenue students. 

  • We will have a monthly lesson that will focus on a particular type of coding or computer science. 

  • If you are currently competing in a Fall sport you can start after your season ends. 

  • You do not need to come to every meeting to participate, but it is highly encouraged. 

  • Math Counts Returns to EAMS!

  • MathCounts is a middle school mathematics competition that builds problem-solving skills and fosters achievement through an in-person "bee" style contest held in January. The EAMS Math Team will meet and practice in preparation to compete against other schools in our district.
