  • Livermore Named 2021 All-America City

    The City of Livermore was named a 2021 All-America City at the National Civic League’s All-America City Awards Ceremony on June 9, 2021. The theme of this year’s competition was "Building Equitable and Resilient Communities." The delegation was comprised of students, community members, and staff from the City of Livermore, the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD), Las Positas College, and the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD). The All-America City judges were impressed by the passionate commitment of Livermore youth.

  • Taste of California Challenge Grant Awarded to LVJUSD Child Nutrition Team

    The LVJUSD Child Nutrition Services Team has been awarded $8,500 as a recipient of the Team Nutrition Taste of California Standardized Recipe Challenge (Taste of CA Challenge) Grant by the California Department of Education. With this grant, the Child Nutrition team will be able to develop entree or side dish recipes using locally grown products that will meet the diversity of students’ taste expectations.

  • Bicyclists and Drivers Urged to Safely Share the Road for National Bicycle Safety Month

    May is National Bicycle Safety Month, and the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) along with the Livermore Police Department (LPD) are encouraging drivers to slow down when passing bicyclists, and ask bicyclists to be visible, predictable, and safe on the road.

  • Livermore Named Finalist for 2021 All-America City Award

    LVJUSD, The City of Livermore, Las Positas College, and LARPD are proud to issue a joint press release announcing Livermore as a 2021 All-America City Finalist. Livermore is one of 20 U.S. cities competing for the honor of being named an All-America City. This year's competition will be a virtual presentation taking place on June 8, 2021.

  • Vaccination Clinic Helps Protect Livermore Community

    A collaboration between the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD), the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD), and the City of Livermore, in partnership with Walgreens, brought the COVID-19 vaccine to 475 individuals in a one-day clinic held at the Robert Livermore Community Center on March 11, 2021.

  • Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Receives Mask Donation from Ford Fund

    LVJUSD was the fortunate recipient of more than 11,000 medical masks from the Ford Motor Company's Project Apollo and Ford Fund. We appreciate the generosity of our local Ford dealership as they support the health and welfare of public school teachers and staff during the pandemic.
