Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
On behalf of the staff at Granada High School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! Twenty years ago at this time, I was preparing to teach my first English classes at Granada, and now I get the pleasure of addressing you as Granada's new principal. Throughout my experience at Granada, at the beginning of every school year, it is our goal to help every student feel welcome and connected with our Granada family. As the school year progresses, we strive to challenge each student to achieve his or her highest potential.
As we approach the new school year, we are already busy planning for success. The generous funds provided by the Livermore community through Measure J have already resulted in a new athletic field and stadium, as well as improvements to our whole campus infrastructure. But the most impressive construction is happening right now as we are in the heart of building our new physical education complex, which will include a weight room, wrestling room, dance/tumbling room, and a brand new pool.
The wonderful Granada staff and I look forward to seeing students in August and sharing our school vision and plans with our community at Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 4. As we begin a new school year, we will continue our tradition of innovation to create opportunities and programs that challenge and prepare our students for our rapidly changing world.
Once again, welcome back! Together let's make it another successful year at Granada!
