GWC (Girls Who Code) or Coding Club: Beginning on Monday, October 17 in room 20 from 2:45 to 4:00. This is a program that is OPEN TO ALL GENDERS and is mentored by professional programmers from LLNL. If you have any questions, you may contact Mrs. Lee directly at dlee@lvjusd.org.
Math Counts: Are you up for a challenge? Do you enjoy math? Come to MathCounts in room 27 every Wednesday from 1:45 to 2:45. Please note: This club is for middle school students only. Makers, 3D Printing, Robotics, and Science Club: Beginning on October 20, this club will meet on Thursdays in room 6 from 2:40 to 4:00. Mrs. Brown has all sorts of gadgets and materials for you to use in your inventions. For students interested in doing a Science Fair Project for the Odyssey or County Science Fair, Mrs. Brown will be running that club concurrently with the Makers Club. TUPE (Tobacco Use Prevention Education) Peer Educators: Beginning October 18 in room 21 from 2:40 to 3:40. As part of training for our TUPE peer educators, they will learn what the school and legal consequences are for using tobacco, marijuana, alcohol or other drugs. They will create presentations for different audiences and promotions at Junction during the school year. Folklorico Tlapalli: This club takes place in the exercise room by the gym on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Grades K-3 will practice from 6:00-6:45 pm. Grades 4-8, from 6:45-7:45 pm.
