• Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year

    Hello Mendenhall Families!
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful summer, spending time with family and friends, and getting some well-deserved downtime. I am delighted to welcome both returning and new families to another exciting school year at Mendenhall.

My name is Runjhun Goel and I am excited to return for my second year as President of the Mendenhall Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). I have two daughters, aged 13 and 22 years-old. My younger daughter is very excited to be returning as an 8th grader - her last year here at Mendenhall! Some of you may know me from my years at Sunset Elementary School, where I served as a volunteer and later as VP and President of Sunset PTO. I have always been passionate about contributing to my daughters' education, helping to enhance their school experience wherever I can. As I embark on my second year as PTSA President, I look forward to leveraging the wonderful partnership PTSA has established with our school administration, and our amazing teachers and staff, in order to advance our shared goals in providing the best learning experience possible for our students.

And because it truly takes a village to raise successful students, I highly encourage you to get involved in whatever way that works for you and your family. Whether it's volunteering at one of our school or PTSA-sponsored events, becoming a PTSA member or attending one of our Association meetings, there are plenty of opportunities for parents and adult caregivers to get to know our school community.

Like many other schools in our district and beyond, we are challenged with raising the necessary funds to support essential programs and events that enrich our students' education. As a result, we rely heavily on parent donations to make up for the lack of funding. If you are in a position to do so, we humbly request and are grateful for your donations, which can be made at our PTSA E-store. No amount is too small, and all funds raised will go directly toward supporting our students and school.

Thank you to everyone who has donated their time and resources in support of PTSA programs. Your efforts have a tremendous impact on our school, and for that, we are extremely grateful! Best of luck to all of you for an exciting and invigorating academic year! I look forward to getting to know you — perhaps at a meeting, at one of our events, or on campus!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me at mendenhallptsa@gmail.com

    Sincerely,
    Runjhun Goel
    (Mendenhall PTSA President)
