General Sports Information



    All students participating in sports must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA and have completed the district sports physical form PRIOR to trying out for and participating in the sports. Physical forms may be obtained from the office or accessed below.

    Due to state budget cuts, there is no district funding for middle school sports. We can only offer extracurricular sport activities by raising enough money through parent donations to cover the cost of the individual sports program. Donations are tax deductible. Below are the suggested donation amounts that would allow us to cover the associated costs for each sport. Every single donation of any amount has a big impact on our program.  These expenses may include, referees and greens fees as well as equipment and uniforms. Donations are not refundable. All donations are voluntary and are in no way tied to your student’s ability to participate in a school program/activity. Athletic Donation

    Parental Support

    Each sporting team needs a parent coordinator to assist the coach with car pooling schedules, end-of-the-season party, and other clerical duties. Please consider volunteering, your participation is much appreciated!
    Basketball (B/G), volleyball (G), and wrestling (co-ed) parents must volunteer for a home game shift to collect money at the door. More information will be forthcoming.

    East Avenue Middle School Athletics

    Welcome to all incoming 6th graders to East Ave Middle School! We offer many after-school athletic opportunities throughout the school year for both boys and girls. Please have your student get a physical examination and have the physician complete the school district physical form this summer. The physical is good for one calendar year and allows your student to try out and play in the sports listed below.

     You must have a current Livermore school district athletic physical form on file in the office to participate.

    You must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average to participate. Please make donations payable to East Ave School after your athlete has made the team.
