    Areas of Involvment 

    CLASSROOM: The teachers will be explaining and inviting parents to volunteer at Back to School Night on 8/30. 

    PTA:  Please join us for the first PTA meeting of the year on Wednesday, 9/12 at 7pm in the Library.

    GARDEN: We need assistance with our Outdoor Learning Lab. Please email fgatty@lvjusd.org 

    RUNNING CLUB: We need parent volunteers to help run this incredibly popular program. It's time for Running Club to begin planning for the 2018-2019 school year!  If you are interested in helping our students become stronger, healthier, and more focused on learning, we would love to have you!  We need people to help pass out sticks, record laps, set up the equipment, and distribute feet.  It's a great volunteer opportunity for parents looking for a specific task with a limited time commitment that is finished early in the day.  And it is a lot of fun!  Find out more from the link below.  https://goo.gl/forms/ DEyxc6ytInmTf1or1

    SCHOOL COUNCIL:  You are welcome to participate in School Council on the first Wednesday of the month at 3:05pm in the Office.  Agenda: Principal Update, Homework discussion, Arts Integration, Testing, Intervention, LCAP and Budget Update.

    ELAC:  If you are a parent of a second language learner, please attend our ELAC meeting on 1/18 from 6:00-7:00PM in the office. 

     The READING LAB is a place where volunteers can meet one-on-one with students who need help with reading skills.  Help our students succeed by volunteering twice a week, for just 30 minutes!      The GREEN TEAM: The ACE Green Team is seeking to involve parents, grandparents, and community members  in energy conservation, schoolyard greening, reducing waste, and recycling.  We will be applying to become a Green Ribbon School and will need assistance writing our application.      The STEAM TEAM (maker space): Our STEAM lab is a resource-rich space that takes a multidisciplinary approach to help develop the ACE students’ 21st century skills, - information and communications technology (ICT) literacy, and ultimately prepare students to respond better to a future that is yet to be defined. Through collaborative, creative, problem-solving activities that include low tech, high tech, robotics, and kids’ natural passion for hands-on learning, the STEAM Lab will connect learning to life outside the classroom.  No experience necessary, training will be provided.
