Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional kindergarten is the first year of a two-year kindergarten experience provided at all elementary and K-8 schools in our district. These students attend school daily from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Each class is taught by a credentialed teacher with the support of an instructional aide.

Research shows that transitional kindergarten builds positive relationships and impacts a child’s development and positive sense of self. Social-emotional development, science, literacy, math foundations, and fine and gross motor skills are provided in a nurturing environment where your children learn through individual, large, and small group instruction that is both hands-on and play-based.

We provide a program with components that lead to positive peer relationships, communication, and problem-solving skills. Our primary goal is to foster a love of learning that persists throughout your child’s school experience.
