The LVJUSD Science Odyssey is an exciting annual event that celebrates science and engineering, bringing together students, families, and the community. During the event, LVJUSD students showcase their innovative experiments, sharing their findings with the public. Judges evaluate the displays, engaging with students to discuss their experimental processes and the knowledge they've gained throughout their projects. The Science Odyssey also offers a wonderful opportunity for community members to volunteer as judges, contributing their expertise and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Trashion Show Information

Trashion: fashion created from used, thrown-out, found and repurposed elements.

The Trashion Show is held annually as part of the LVJUSD Science Odyssey. Students in grades TK-12 can showcase their original outfits, featuring 100% recycled materials. Students will be judged in three categories:

  • High Fashion: New York Fashion Week, cutting-edge and trend-setting fashion
  • Fantasy/Fiction: Resembling a character from your favorite book, TV show, or movie
  • Around the World: Representing any of the world’s cultures

Participating students will showcase their creations during our Trashion Show on April 10th at 5:30 pm. Prizes for each category will be awarded for the most creative and best use of recycled materials.

Please note: Parents/Guardians may help with the assembly of the outfit, however, students must be the original designer and create the majority of the outfit.

Click here to register. Registration, including outfit description, must be completed by Wednesday, March 26th.
