Math Counts

  • Registration is OPEN for the 26th Annual Livermore MathCounts Competition!

    The Annual Livermore MathCounts Middle School Math competition will be held in person this year and will be an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their skills in math!

    The competition will be held on Saturday, February 12 at Granada High School. Participants will engage in individual and team portions, followed by a final "lightning round" to determine the winner. All current health and safety guidelines and LVJUSD COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

    Important Information for MathCounts 2022

    January 5, 2022: Registration Opens for the MathCounts Competition. Click Here to Register.
    February 9, 2022:
     Deadline to Register.
    February 12, 2022: Mathcounts Competition at Granada High School.

    What to Bring:

    • Students MUST bring their own device that can connect to the LVJUSD network
    • Pencil & Scratch Paper
    • Calculator
    • Water bottle
    • Masks and social distancing will be required

  • The mission of MathCounts is designed to increase enthusiasm for and enhance achievement in middle school mathematics throughout the United States. The program provides middle school students with the foundation for success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers. In Livermore, middle school students are coached at their respective schools weekly by scientists and mathematician volunteers.
