Spring Break - April 3-7, 2023
The CMS school and office will be closed April 3-7, 2023, for Spring Break. School and regular office hours will resume on April 10.

2023-2024 Course Selection for Current CMS 6th and 7th Grade Students
Current CMS 6th and 7th graders will be selecting their 2023-2024 core and elective choices online from March 17-April 14.

2023-2024 Incoming 6th Grade Course Selection Information
This year our incoming 6th grade students will be selecting their 2023-2024 core and elective course choices by completing a Google Form. The required courses for each student include English, Reading, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Physical Education.

CAlifornia Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) Testing
Our students will take the English Language Arts/literacy (ELA) and Mathematics CAlifornia Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) tests beginning May 1, 2023. Our eighth grade students will also take the Science assessment beginning April 17, 2023.

CMS PTA 8th Grade Promotion Lei Sales
The CMS PTA is selling 42-inch handmade CMS Class of 2023 promotion ribbon leis for $15-$20. All proceeds support the CMS PTA. Leis will be available for pick up the first week in June.

CMS 2022-2023 Yearbook Ordering Information
The only way to guarantee your CMS 2022-2023 yearbook order is to purchase one from the Herff Jones Yearbook Order Center. The price is $40 until April 12.

The CMS Athletic Department is implementing a new system for students and families to submit information for athletic clearance requests.

Alameda County Student Transit Clipper Card Program
The Alameda County Transportation Commission continues to fund a student transit pass program to support ridership in Alameda County. All LVJUSD middle and high school students are eligible to receive a free Clipper card good during the 2022/23 school year.

Choose Love
All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District participate in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.
