  • LVJUSD to Hold Board Candidate Information Night

    On Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 7:00 pm, LVJUSD will host a Board Candidate Information Night for those interested in running for one of two vacant seats on its Board of Education, the policy-making body of the LVJUSD. Interested community members are invited to attend, listen, and ask questions during the informal workshop session held in the LVJUSD Board Room at 685 E. Jack London Boulevard.

  • LVJUSD Fall Planning Survey Results & Next Steps

    The LVJUSD Fall 2020 Planning survey was sent to all of our families, seeking their input into the process of planning the start of school for 2020-21. The survey was sent electronically via email as well as text message, and was open for 10 days. 6,045 households participated, representing approximately 10,400 students. Our District Leadership Team is taking this information into consideration as we plan for the start of the new school year.   • LVJUSD Celebrates the Class of 2020

    From June 2-5, all LVJUSD high schools will allow students and their families to participate in a unique, socially-distanced individualized graduation ceremony that aligns with the Alameda County Public Health Department’s Graduation Guidelines.

  • Middle School Promotions Going Virtual

    On June 4th, when 8th graders in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) would normally be lining up at their schools to parade across the stage to receive their promotion certificates, they will be at home, watching their middle school celebration on YouTube. Congratulations to our 8th graders!

  • 2020 Sports Conditioning Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Protocols

    The Alameda County Public Health Order effective June 8, 2020 now allows for additional permissions for childcare and youth extracurricular activities in outdoor settings. Based on this new county guidance and CIF Return to Physical Activity Training Guidelines, LVJUSD is instituting protocols for high school sports in order to allow for sports conditioning activities.   • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
