2.25.21 Special Board Meeting Vote to End School Dismissal
At the February 25, 2021 Special Board Meeting, the LVJUSD Board of Education voted 5-0 to end school dismissal and resume in-person instruction for Preschool- Grade 12 beginning Monday, March 22, 2021. Open Enrollment & Transfer Process for 2021-22 School Year: Now through March 1, 2021
The Open Enrollment & Transfer Process for the 2021-22 school year is from January 15 - March 1, 2021. There will be a New Student Enrollment Information Night on Thursday, January 14 at 6pm on Zoom for more information on our district and the enrollment process. Click above for webinar details.

Trimester Break Meal Kits Available for Pick-Up on Friday, March 5th
March is National Nutrition Month and to kick it off, our Child Nutrition Department has put together meal kits for those in need of food over the trimester break. (No school on 3/8 & 3/9). Kits are available for pick up on Friday, 3/5 at our 8 meal pick up locations. Click above for a flyer with details!

Livermore Schools Set Date For Students to Return to Campus
In-person instruction for Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) students will resume March 22, 2021. At a special School Board meeting yesterday, trustees unanimously approved the recommendation of Superintendent Kelly Bowers to officially end school dismissal, marking close to a year of distance learning because of the pandemic. Students attending preschool through 12th grade will be able to come to school or remain in distance learning, based on their individual family preference.

Congratulations to our District Spelling Bee Finalists from Grades 4-6
On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 34 students competed in the District Spelling Bee for Grades 4-6. After three and a half hour competition via Zoom, the Spelling Bee concluded with its top 4 finalists! Congratulations to Mahathi Kamalanathan from Altamont Creek Elementary, Ananya Menon from Mendenhall Middle School, and Brayden Kreitzman and Lily Feng from East Avenue Middle School! Granada High School Athletic and Aquatic Facility Renovation Complete
Granada Pride is growing over the addition of state-of-the-art athletic and aquatic facilities, made possible by the Livermore community’s support of the Measure J Facilities Bond. After nearly two years of construction, the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is proud to announce the completion of the Granada High School (GHS) Athletic and Aquatic Renovation Project.

LVJUSD Framework for Success
The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Choose Love
All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
