We are excited to provide the student opportunity to participate on the CMS Golf and Cross Country teams. The seasons are going to be shorter than normal since COVID-19 has altered many activities.  The upcoming golf and cross-country seasons will start the week of April 26 and conclude the week of May 24. There will be 2-3 practices per week for each sport and 1 meet/match per week. When the finalized schedules of meets/matches become available, the CMS Athletic Director Michael “Coach Mike” Johnson will send them to families

Coach Mike has an informational meeting scheduled for Monday, April 26. If you completed the Google Forms Sports survey, watch your email for an invitation. If you did not complete the Google Forms Sports survey but would like to attend the informational meeting, please email "Coach Mike" at

We are looking for a golf coach. If you are interested, please let me know.

In order to participate, students must have a physical form on file. Please email completed forms to Coach Mike at or turn them in at the office.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Coach Mike.

  • Due to state budget cuts, there is no district funding for middle school sports. We can only offer extracurricular sport activities by raising enough money through parent donations to cover the cost of the individual sports program. Donations are tax deductible. Below are the suggested donation amounts that would allow us to cover the associated costs for each sport. These expenses may include coach’s stipends, referees and greens fees as well as equipment and uniforms. Donations are not refundable. All donations are voluntary and are in no way tied to your student’s ability to participate in a school program/activity.

    Parent Support:

Each sporting team needs a parent coordinator to assist the coach with car pooling schedules, end-of-the-season party, and other clerical duties. Please consider volunteering, your participation is much appreciated!  Basketball (B/G), volleyball (G), and wrestling (co-ed) parents must volunteer for a home game shift to collect money at the door. More information will be forthcoming.
