Granada High School Principal Matthew Hart proudly welcomed students, school and District staff, the LVJUSD Board of Education, and Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert to celebrate the newly completed GHS Athletic & Aquatic Renovation project on Wednesday, March 31.

LVJUSD is seeking parent and guardian input related to student academic success; physical, emotional and behavioral safety; parent engagement and communication; and supports for specific student groups as we formulate our 3-year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). Participate in one or more of our 3 Thoughtxchanges (for Elementary, Middle, and High) to share your thoughts and rate the thoughts of others!

Edward Teller Science Scholarship
Edward Teller was a co-founder of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Dr. Teller's work at the Laboratory is only one element of his long multidimensional and distinguished life as a scientist, educator and citizen. In honor of Dr. Edward Teller, LLNL is sponsoring scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00 each to a graduating senior at Livermore and Granada High Schools. Applications due April 30, 2021.

LVJUSD Framework for Success
The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

Choose Love
All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
