    On June 4th, when 8th graders in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) would normally be lining up at their schools to parade across the stage to receive their promotion certificates, they will be at home, watching their middle school celebration on YouTube.   • Livermore Learns Launches Parent Webinars!

    Livermore Learns, with the support of the Pedrozzi Foundation, is pleased to present our first parent webinars! Throughout the month of May, there will be 8, 1-hour webinars on two topics: Establishing a Routine and Dealing with Distractions. Sessions are available in English and Spanish and aim to provide helpful information and a supportive space for parents to share their thoughts and ask questions.     In recognition of School Nurse Appreciation Day on May 6th, we share the incredible work being done by our school nursing staff. Even during school dismissal, our nurses are busier than ever working with students and their families in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy.

  • LLNL, Foundation and LVJUSD Collaborate on Virtual Scientist Engagement Program

    The four-part program is providing virtual resources to local students interested in science and engineering via video demonstrations and live Zoom discussions with LLNL scientists as they explain their work and showcase experiments in physics, space and planetary defense, environmental science and physical science.

  • Livermore Counts! Census 2020

    Complete your 2020 Census today! Data from the census provide the basis for distributing more than $675 billion in federal funds annually to communities across the country to support vital programs- housing, education, transportation, employment, health care, and public policy. Census data directly impacts several services and programs provided by public education, including the school lunch program. Additionally, census data is also used to redraw the boundaries of congressional and state legislative districts and accurately determine the number of congressional seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
