Weekly Bulletin

  • November 7, 2018

    • The canned food drive has begun.  Please consider donating non-perishable foods (canned or boxed) as well as bathroom toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)  Please deliver to Room 37 by Friday, November 16th.
    • There is a noontime activity this Friday.  Join us for the Oreo Cookie Catch Challenge on the Blacktop.
    • Girls Basketball - The first home game is Tuesday, November 13th.  Come and show your support!
    • Are you interested in the game of Chess?  If you are interested in learning to play or already know how to play and want to get together for a game, join anytime in room 7 during 4A or 4B lunch.  Bring your lunch and your friends with you!
    • Students, please remember to renew your library books at least every two weeks to avoid having overdue books. If you cannot find your books, please see Mrs. Grasseschi.
    • Remember…… BE A BULLDOG.  This stands for BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, and BE SAFE!

Announcements

  • Starting Monday, October 8, 2018, all after school detentions in room 3 with Mrs. Rajczyk will last for 45 minutes instead of thirty minutes.  This means office assigned after school detentions will be from 2:35 to 3:20, except on early release days.  On early release day’s you must report to detention from 1:35-2:20.

  • Middle school students at Junction Avenue K-8 School will be required to wear their IDs on lanyards at all times with the excpetion of PE.  IDs and lanyards will be provided to students today, September 17th.  If IDs and lanyards are lost, they must be immediatley replaced and purchased int he office for $5.00.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.
