  • Thanksgiving Break Coming Up

    School will be closed November 25 through 29 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on Monday, December 2. Have a safe and happy holiday.

  • Spelling Bee Coming Soon

    The East Avenue Spelling Bee is coming soon. The written qualifying test (open to all interested students) will be held after school on Wednesday, December 4 in the library. The top spellers will move on to the Finals, held on Wednesday, January 15 at 6:00 PM in the library. For more information, please click on the title.

  • Eat at Panda Express to Benefit East Avenue

    Take a break from holiday shopping and Help raise money for East Avenue Middle School at the same time. Eat out at Panda Express on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 10:30 AM-9:00 PM and Panda will donate 20% to East if you show their flyer.   • Teen Wellness Workshops

    Horizons Parent/Family Workshops will be having a series of parent workshops focused on teen wellness and addressing some of the current trends affecting teens today. October 1 - Vaping and Marijuana, December 3 - Anxiety and Depression, February 4 - Social Media and Dangerous Teen Behavior, March 10 - Video Games. For more information, please click on the title.

  • Apply for a Free Wheels Bus Pass

    East Avenue Middle School students are eligible to apply for a free transit pass.. To participate, a student must complete an application and have a parent sign it. Once the form is submitted and verified by school staff, students will receive a youth Clipper Card within one month.     Our lost and found is overflowing with jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, and water bottlles. Please have your student check to see if any of their missing items are there. The lost and found is located in the MPR foyer in the wooden closet.

    Axis Community Health presents “Plugged in Parents”. Learn to create a healthy, media friendly environment and help youth avoid the pitfalls of social media and overuse of technology.   • Annual Toy Drive

    This holiday season, please share your generosity with families in need. Please donate a new, unwrapped toy suitable for a girl or a boy from Newborn to 11 years old. All toy donations will benefit LVJUSD low-income students. Please drop off toys in the East Avenue Office from November 6th to December 4th. Together we can make a difference in a child’s life.

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
