Student Board Member Recognition

The LVJUSD Board of Education recognized student board members Ayla Gruss from Granada High School and Robin Deepak from Livermore High School for their leadership and service throughout the school year.

Through their participation in Board discussions and district initiatives, Ayla and Robin helped represent and elevate student voices across LVJUSD while demonstrating a strong commitment to their school communities.

Tri-Valley Teacher Induction Program Recognition

The LVJUSD Board of Education recognized teachers completing the Tri-Valley Teacher Induction Program (TVTIP), which supports educators new to the profession through mentorship, classroom observations, and ongoing professional development.

This year, 19 teachers completed the two-year program, helping strengthen instruction and positively impact students across the district.

LVJUSD Students at Climate Literacy Conference

LVJUSD students represented the district at the Bay Area Climate Literacy Conference, sharing their learning alongside peers from across the region.

Students participated in presentations, a youth climate action panel, and a closing ceremony performance, showcasing their leadership and commitment to environmental issues.

Their work highlights the powerful role students play in advancing climate literacy and making a positive impact in their communities.

Visit from the Chamber of Commerce

Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy welcomed the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Livermore group for a visit highlighting the school's dynamic STEAM magnet program. Guests experienced staff presentations, student-led tours, performances, and hands-on activities.

The visit showcased student creativity and innovation, culminating in a fun "trashion show" where guests designed fashion accessories from recycled materials.

Waaris Ubhi from Smith Elementary took first place in the Grades 4-6 competition, and Sanjith Chidambaram from Mendenhall Middle School won the Grades 7-8 competition.

We are proud of these outstanding students for their hard work, dedication, and impressive spelling skills.
