  • Livermore Named 2021 All-America City

    The City of Livermore was named a 2021 All-America City at the National Civic League’s All-America City Awards Ceremony on June 9, 2021. The theme of this year’s competition was "Building Equitable and Resilient Communities." The delegation was comprised of students, community members, and staff from the City of Livermore, the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD), Las Positas College, and the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD). The All-America City judges were impressed by the passionate commitment of Livermore youth.

  • Taste of California Challenge Grant Awarded to LVJUSD Child Nutrition Team

    The LVJUSD Child Nutrition Services Team has been awarded $8,500 as a recipient of the Team Nutrition Taste of California Standardized Recipe Challenge (Taste of CA Challenge) Grant by the California Department of Education. With this grant, the Child Nutrition team will be able to develop entree or side dish recipes using locally grown products that will meet the diversity of students’ taste expectations.

  • 25th Annual LVJUSD MathCounts Competition Held Via Facebook LIVE for 2021

    43 exceptional math minds from grades 6 through 8 representing all 5 LVJUSD middle schools participated in our 25th annual MathCounts competition.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

  • Choose Love

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
