  • Congratulations to our District Spelling Bee Finalists from Grades 4-6

    On Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 34 students competed in the District Spelling Bee for Grades 4-6. After three and a half hour competition via Zoom, the Spelling Bee concluded with its top 4 finalists! Congratulations to Mahathi Kamalanathan from Altamont Creek Elementary, Ananya Menon from Mendenhall Middle School, and Brayden Kreitzman and Lily Feng from East Avenue Middle School!   • Watch the Diversity in Literature Conference on YouTube!

  • Science on Saturdays from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

    Science on Saturdays is back and online! Each Saturday in February, LLNL scientists together with educators from the community engage middle and high school students with presentations on relevant science topics.   • It's Time to Submit Your Pedrozzi Scholarship Applications!

    Since 2008, the Pedrozzi Foundation has awarded $4.8 million in scholarships to LVJUSD students to pursue education and training. From January 1 - March 2, 2021 graduating seniors and former LVJUSD graduates can apply for scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies, community college and career/vocational training.

  • LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

  • Choose Love

    All students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District are participating in the Choose Love social emotional learning curriculum during the 2018-19 school year. Students learn the Choose Love Formula: Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion in Action = Choosing Love Formula.

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,900 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized progams including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
