    2023 High School Senior Art Awards - Applications Due April 10

    There are only a few more weeks left to apply for the Livermore Commission for the Arts High School Senior Art contest! The Livermore Commission for the Arts wants to award High School Seniors $600 for their talents in the arts – visual, literary, media, and performing arts. The application and other required documents must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2023. Click for more information.

    2023 Senior Scholarship Opportunity

    To support and further the education of students in our community, the Board of Directors of the Hindu Community and Cultural Center have established three perpetual scholarships of $500.00 each to be awarded to a worthy high school graduating senior at each of the comprehensive high schools (Granada High and Livermore High) and one among seniors graduating from alternative schools in the LVJUSD.     Elementary Counseling Program Expands Mental Health Support for Students

    A five-year, $5.7 million dollar, School Based Mental Health (SBMH) Grant from the U.S. Department of Education will benefit the students of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) through the establishment of an elementary school counseling program that will increase elementary students’ access to tiered counseling services and supports.     LVJUSD Framework for Success

    The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District uses a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) - a comprehensive framework that aligns academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning - to meet the needs of all students in our district. Under the umbrella of the LVJUSD framework, the three components that address students’ needs are Academics, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

    Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is an award-winning district that serves more than 13,000 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade at nine elementary campuses, two K-8 schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, and two alternative schools. Livermore Schools offer specialized programs, including International Baccalaureate Programmes, Green Engineering Academy, Dual Immersion Program and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) pathways.
